#31 | Reflecting on Nibiru’s Incentivized Testnet: Preparing for Public Launch

Nibiru is excited to share the recap on the incentivized testnet and to provide clarity and transparency into the rewards distribution. The Nibiru Incentivized Testnet (ITN) began in February 2023 and concluded mid-October 2023. This was a defining moment in the roadmap, setting the stage for the much-anticipated public launch.

Community Growth

The Nibiru community witnessed a surge in social presence, welcoming over 150K+ members across Twitter, Discord, and LinkedIn. The team has also expanded its presence on Telegram, inviting developers and ecosystem partners to collaborate within.

The community is the forefront of Nibiru’s vision. The team acknowledges the dedicated ambassadors, whose support, insightful feedback, and enthusiastic engagement played a pivotal role in amplifying the Nibiru community’s voice.

The on-chain summary showcases a wide range of activity during the Nibiru Incentivized Testnet, which processed over 137 million transactions, indicating high network capacity and reliability. Additionally, the deployment of 30,000 smart contracts highlights active developer engagement. These figures indicate a robust and well-tested environment, essential for public launch.

ITN Phases

Task and Reward Breakdown

In total, there were 44,289 unique NIBI wallet addresses that successfully completed in the ITN. Distribution of NIBI was proportionate to the addresses’ completed tasks.

Reward Allocation

A total of 7.2M NIBI tokens will be allocated to ITN participants. As shown in the above diagram, Nibiru’s Initial Circulating Supply consists of distributions towards CEX liquidity, exchange launchpad(s) (which have not yet occurred), the ITN rewards, ecosystem grants, and Retroactive Reward 2.

Rewards: Eligibility Reminder

The team will release a ITN reward claims guide shortly before public launch, please keep an eye out for that announcement.
Registration Requirement:

Only individuals that completed the registration process are eligible to claim NIBI tokens. If you participated in the testnet but did not register, you will not be able to claim the tokens.
Restricted Countries:

Residents in

restricted (and sanctioned) countries

are not eligible to claim tokens due to regulations. Please check this list to confirm your eligibility.

Q: Is the current data finalized?

No, the data is not finalized, as it needs to be combined with the Gleam registrations. We're seeing that a lot of users either misentered their Nibiru address or other social IDs in the original registration form.

No. We're going to cross-reference the addresses and Discord IDs an additional time to make sure everything is correct to guarantee that no one deserving of points is missed. The forms are useful in case (1) there's a typo in your original registration info, or (2) there's been any human error on our part in the data processing.
