2023 has been a pivotal year for Nibiru. Nibiru is now a serious L1 contender in and outside the DeFi space. Nibiru continued building during the bear, developing functional and usable applications while fine-tuning the network. As the year wraps up, Nibiru is excited to share key milestones achieved and plans for 2024!

Nibiru Incentivized Testnet (ITN)

The Nibiru Incentivized Testnet processed over 137 million transactions for activities including governance, transfers, and usage of dApps.

Why did Nibiru conduct an ITN?

Simulating real-world scenarios in a controlled environment prior to mainnet launch is critical to identifying bugs, network instabilities, and potential security issues. With 4 million active wallet addresses, 30,000 smart contracts deployed, and over 80,000 synced full nodes in operation, the ITN was an indication of Nibiru’s readiness for mainnet launch.

Smart Contract Gas Royalties: Enables builders to capture the value they create.
Fast, Reliable, Dependable: Nibiru’s fast transaction speed equates to 40,000 TPS with approximately ~6 seconds to finality and 1.4 seconds of block times.

Native dApps

Beyond its L1 services, Nibiru offers a range of trading and liquidity products that are easily accessible.

Sai: A perpetual futures exchange enabling users to trade a wide array of assets non-custodially, on-chain, with minimized gas fees.
Nibi-Swap: An automated liquidity protocol for spot trading multichain assets, negating the need for trusted intermediaries. It facilitates swaps, pools, and bonded liquidity gauges, including speculative and stable swap pools.
NUSD: Nibiru's fully collateralized stablecoin, backed by USDC, is used as an interface for bridging or ramping fiat to and from the chain, while NIBI serves as the staking and utility token.

Gaming : Nibiru is entering the Web3 gaming industry through partnerships with innovative mobile game studios like IntoTheVerse and global advocacy organizations such as Blockchain Game Alliance.
Real World Assets (RWAs) & NFTs: Coded Estate

is about bringing homes on-chain, rentals on-chain, and democratizing access into the real estate system. Coded Estate is reimagining ownership, decentralized allowing ownership for any and everybody.
DeFi & Developer Tooling: Focusing on providing development tools, Nibiru has teamed up with projects to expand on-chain developments. This includes partnerships with

Warp Protocol for smart contract automation, and Fairblock for adding programmable privacy to applications.
Wallets: To ensure user accessibility to Nibiru, popular wallets such as Kepler, Leap Wallet, and Cosmostation have been integrated.
Hackathons: Nibiru supported the growth of the ecosystem by hosting hackathons with DoraHacks including events like InnovateX, featuring over 50 projects, and Hackmos with more than 20 projects.

2023 has been a year of pride and gratitude for Nibiru, reflecting hard work, strong community support, and impactful partnerships. As we move into 2024, Nibiru remains committed to its vision.

The first quarter of 2024 will be a significant milestone as Nibiru approaches public launch. As mentioned in the ITN recap, approximately 27% of the initial circulating supply for the initial distribution will be reserved for a second reward distribution, Nibiru’s Pre-Launch Rewards Campaign.

How will it work?

Simply engage with Nibiru’s X content. Nibiru’s mission is to streamline the onboarding process from Web2 to Web3, by providing a user-centric path to Web3 rewards. Bridging, staking, and other interactions should not be terrifying.
